Who We Are

My name is Kimberly and I am the proud mama to three wee ones, who aren’t so wee anymore!  As they have moved from baby, to toddler, to preschooler, to school age big-kids, some of our best memories we have created together have been in the kitchen baking; with them in a sling, in a front pack, on a chair, on a stool and now standing beside me.  Baking is therapeutic and is my go-to activity for fun, relaxation and entertainment.  I was lucky enough that my mother, too, allowed me to be independent in the kitchen at a young age and my love of baking was immediate.  I remember getting a set of measuring cups and a chef’s hat for my 8th birthday, a crepe pan and recipe book for my 10th, and the gifts of rolling pins, cookie cutters, mixers and special tools have continued, and continued to delight me!  There is nothing I love more than being able to take good quality ingredients, spend a little time with them and produce something amazing and delicious.  It brings great joy to provide treats to someone and see their eyes light up and hear the satisfaction that one of my creations brings them.

Bumble blossom is a labor of love, long in the process of making.  My goal is to bring to you homemade treats that will bring a smile to your face (and bonus: keep me from eating them). What’s with the name? Bees are a symbol of nature and this amazing little creature that is able to pollinate millions of beautiful flowers. This has meaning to me as the busy mother, buzzing around, getting things done.   It also ties into my signature cookies (Honey Almond Triangles – have you tried them?  You should!) This cookie boutique is going to go great places, so join me along for the ride!

As you can see, I’ve been making sugar cookies for a LONG time.  I’m the redhead.  The one eating the dough is my sweet little sis. Great memories of baking with Grandma.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers,

Kimberly, Owner/Baker

So excited for you and your new business! You have a natural talent and will go far. Wish I lived closer to get in on the goodness. Might have order up a batch when we are in town. Cheers to making dreams happen!
